VIII Copa Del Rey de Barcos de Época fin de agosto (+Video)

Son ya 36 participantes inscritos en esta edición de VELA CLÁSICA MENORCA, VIII COPA DEL REY DE BARCOS DE ÉPOCA, TROFEO PANERAI 2011 que se celebrará en Mahón entre el 24 y el 27 de agosto.

Todavía quedan dos semanas para el cierre de las inscripciones y se esperan que el total supere el número de la edición anterior.

Hay una gran calidad de las emarcaciones que tomaran parte este año y hay que resaltar la participación del Hispania, cúter de vela cangreja de época , cuyo armador fue SSMM el Rey Alfonso XIII;  Giraldilla, barco de regatas de Don Juan de Borbon; Corsaro II, nave escuela de la Marina Militar Italiana; Creole y Avel goleta áurica y cutter áurico de época pertenecientes a la familia Gucci y por último Mariquita, que tras dos ediciones regresa a Mahón.

En esta regata, la más importante del mediterráneo en su categoría, pueden participar embarcaciones tradicionales o clásicas de más de 60 años construidas en materiales rústicos como la madera.

La regata la organizan el Club Marítimo de Mahón y el Real Club Náutico de Barcelona con el apoyo de las diferentes administraciones baleares y de la federación española de vela.
